Photography is simple, and that's exactly what makes it so complicated.
Follow the light. The energy. The emotion. The story. The people. Follow the spark wherever it goes. The awe. That sounds easy enough, but the problem is that the world is infused with awe. It’s absolutely everywhere.
I'm happy to point my camera anywhere, all the time. I just bop around, never really mastering any one subject to the degree that I can be "That Photographer." No, I'm all too happy to take photos of my girls, and the land, and the horses, and the guy who is proposing to the gal, or the gal who just married the guy, and so on and so on.
Which is great and all, but it makes it tricky to do business sometimes. People like to have subject-matter experts. They want the "Wedding Guy" or the "Equine Girl." They don't usually want a generalist.
Which is fine, and I wholly respect that. I’m not the photographer for everyone, and that doesn’t hurt my feelings a bit. I’d rather chase the light than chase a niche.
But if I had to be specific—I’d say I take pictures of people and horses.
So on that note -- if you are a person or have a horse and need photos of both or either please reach out to me. I'd be happy to help you with your photo needs.
